Caltrans Advises Motorists of Holiday and Winter Driving Conditions

24th Nov 2015

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 3 is alerting motorists traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday to be prepared for travel delays. Increased numbers of holiday travelers, combined with an oncoming cold winter storm arriving on Tuesday, November 24, will result in roadway congestion and winter driving conditions.

Caltrans encourages motorists to allow for extra time when traveling to transit locations such as airports, train, and bus stations. The additional travelers utilizing these locations will result in overcrowded parking facilities. Plans for alternate parking locations or transportation options such as public transit or carpooling are recommended.
