National Veterans Awareness Ride – 2016

17th May 2016

Join in lining the streets of Auburn to honor our veterans as they embark on the National Veterans Awareness Ride on Wednesday, May 18, 2016!

A convoy of motorcyclists representing the National Veterans Awareness Organization (NVAO) will be embarking on their annual pilgrimage from Auburn, CA to Washington, D.C., a ten day journey across the United States to bring awareness and recognition to our nation’s military veterans and POW/MIAs.

COME SEE THE RIDERS OFF

Line the streets (see map above) with your American/POW/MIA flags in hand as the Auburn Police Department escorts the riders out of town on this ten day journey.

“Each day of travel involves stops at veteran hospitals and veteran homes to visit, spend time, and thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice. A typical day will also include a stop at a memorial or cemetery for a time of remembrance or a visit to a school to teach the next generation of the price of freedom. Of course, any opportunity anywhere along the route is also taken to ‘Thank a Vet.'”
