The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) today announced plans for multiple lane closures on westbound Interstate 80 in North Sacramento over two-consecutive weekends this month. The ongoing work is part of the $133 million 80 ‘Across the Top’ project scheduled for completion this fall.

The first set of lane closures will start at 10 p.m. Friday, August 19 and continue through 5 a.m. Monday, August 22. Westbound Interstate 80 will be reduced to two lanes from Longview Drive to Winters Street and will also include the closure of the Longview Drive on-ramp and Winters Street off-ramp to westbound I-80. Delays of more than 30 minutes are to be expected.
